Stocks to watch: Hero MotoCorp, ONGC, Tata Motors, Dish TV


Trends on SGX Nifty indicated a positive open for domestic markets.

Domestic stock indices are expected to trade higher on Friday, taking inspiration from their Asian counterparts. Asian stocks rose today, following an overnight rise in US markets. Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.73%, South Korea’s KOSPI jumped 2.18% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index climbed 1.43%.

Trends on SGX Nifty indicated a positive open for home markets. The Nifty Futures on Singapore Exchange, also known as SGX Nifty Futures, rose 52 points or 0.33% to 15,643.80.

The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 443 points or 0.86% to close at 52,266 on Thursday, while the broader NSE Nifty was up 143 points or 0.93% to 15,557.

Here are the actions to watch for in today’s session:

MotoCorp Heroes: The two-wheeler maker said it would raise prices for motorcycles and scooters by up to 3,000 rupees from July 1 to partially offset ever-rising overall cost inflation, including raw material prices . Hero MotoCorp sells a range of models, ranging from entry-level HF100 with prices starting at Rs 51,450, while Xpulse 200 4V tagged at Rs 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

CGSB: ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL), a wholly-owned subsidiary and foreign branch of the government-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC), has made an oil discovery in Colombia, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has announced.
