Amid the ongoing war in Ukraine, Russian TV personality Vladimir Solovyov recently suggested Russia invade the UK next, saying he would like to see Moscow take Stonehenge.
According TAUTMr Soloviev, who has close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin and is known as “the voice of Putin”, said Russia could invade Britain and target British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss. Speaking of his Russia-1 program, Evening with Vladimir Solovyovthe presenter claimed that the invasion of Russia could extend to Stonehenge, the historic landmark in England which sits on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire.
Asked by Ukrainian political analyst Vasil Vakarov how far Russia would be willing to go before stopping, Mr Solovyov replied: “Well, when we have to, we will.”

“Where are we going to stop? Well, like I was saying today, maybe Stonehenge. Liz Truss says she’s the one who fights the war,” Mr Solovyov said, quoted by Independent. Moreover, Mr Solovyov is also said to have claimed that the head of the Kremlin should attack the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
British Foreign Secretary Lizz Truss has been at odds with Russian media over her reluctance to compromise with Mr Putin. Last month, Ms Truss even told G7 and NATO leaders at a meeting in Germany that the Kremlin leader was “humble himself on the world stage”. “We have to make sure he faces a defeat in Ukraine that robs him of any advantage and ultimately limits further aggression,” she said. Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Russian state television has threatened Britain or Europe in general. Last April, Mr Solovyov threatened the UK with the possibility of nuclear annihilation via the Sarmat – a Russian ballistic missile. According Newsweekhe said on his show, “One Sarmat means less one Britain because they’ve gotten totally rude.”

Separately, former Russian MP Yuri Shvytkin also claimed that Moscow could wipe out “the whole of the UK in two minutes” with nuclear weapons.
