A small uninhabited island off the coast of Tanzania may be the site of a murder mystery discovered on Google Maps.
Users of the Reddit online forum have stumbled upon the gruesome site of Irugwa Island in Lake Victoria in Tanzania.
The island itself has no roads or passing a Google Street View camera, but if you use the orange Street View man on the left end of the island, you find yourself transported to a site grizzly.
In what appears to be a narrow hallway of some sort of industrial building, you’ll find a seemingly dead man covered in blood on the floor, with blood splattered on the walls.
There are two gates at each site – numbered 549 and 538.

Behind you is another door with the words “you trusted the wrong person” on it, and on the wall next to it says “you’re too late, turn back now”.
The words were added to the scene as graphics, while the other end of the hall features another graphic of a strange computer-generated figure holding a knife.
However, there is a human shadow behind it, which makes the image very scary.
The Reddit user who found it, YoIzIllmatic, wrote: “I was on the phone with a friend last night and was casually scrolling through Google Maps when I came across it.

“I honestly thought I was seeing things at first, but no, it’s all real, with writing on the wall that says the following: ‘You’re too late. Turn around now.’, ‘You trusted to the wrong guy.’ and ‘Liar’.
“I don’t know if it’s a real human body – the blood spatter looks clearly altered, but the lifeless state of the body looks a bit real.
“Certainly not the comfortable reading of dream vacation destinations I had in mind.”
Many users pointed out that it was clearly fake, as one joked that the person behind it could “work on their Photoshop skills”.
However, many pointed to the shadow behind the computer-generated man as a sign that it could be something more sinister.
