“I am delighted that our Foundation is now fully operational and that so many wonderful, influential people joined the team and I last night at an event that highlighted our continued commitment to Africa. This is the beginning of an epic journey designed to lend a helping hand to those in need of a pick-me-up.”
Echoing this sentiment and during the event itself, Senegalese-American singer Akon explained, “Life is like a hotel room. We are all just passing through. You have to think about who else needs a room when we’ve enjoyed it the most.”
