The Indian women’s team defeated host nation England by four runs to enter the Commonwealth Games final here on Saturday. Smriti Mandhana chose to bat and threw 61 and Jemimah Rodrigues’ produced a useful 44 that would not take India to a healthy 164 for 5 in the semi-final. In response, England got 160 for six in their set 20 overs, with Natalie Sciver (41) and Danielle Wyatt (35) scoring the most runs for the hosts.
