A man has been convicted of groping a barber at a Memphis barbershop after receiving a haircut, according to the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office.
The incident happened on May 16, 2019 at a barber shop in the 9000 block of Highway 64.
The stylist said a man, identified as Danny Silsbe, 67, of Cordoba, walked close behind her and rubbed her bottom after she asked to see hair products, the DA said.
Silsbe then claimed to have difficulty at the checkout.
When the stylist walked over to help her, he reached out and touched her left breast, the prosecutor said.
Investigators obtained CCTV from the company.
The stylist informed her supervisor as soon as Silsbe left.
A criminal court jury found Silsbe guilty of sexual assault.
He remains free on bail and is expected to be sentenced on July 6, the prosecutor said.
