Actor Akshay Kumar has tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time. The actor confirmed his condition on Twitter and also shared that he will not be attending the major Cannes Film Festival 2022.
On Twitter, Akshay Kumar tagged Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur in his tweet and said, “I was really looking forward to supporting our cinema at the India Pavilion at #Cannes2022, but I unfortunately tested positive for Covid. I’m going to rest. Many best wishes to you and your whole team, @ianuragthakur. I will really miss being here.”

Last Monday, Akshay Kumar released the trailer for his upcoming epic drama Prithviraj starring Manushi Chhillar and director Dr Chandraprakash Diwedi. Now, one can only hope if they are safe and protected from the virus.
Speaking of Cannes, the actor was reportedly groomed to represent India and walk the red carpet with R Madhavan, Nawazudin Siddiqui, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Hina Khan, Huma Qureshi, Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Last year in April, the Desi Boyz actor tested positive for Covid. After testing positive for coronavirus, Akshay Kumar was hospitalized. The actor took to his social media pages and confirmed this. He wrote: “Thank you all, for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working. I am fine, but as a precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalized. Hope to be back at home soon. home. Take care.” According to a The AU Times report, Akshay was admitted to Hiranandani Hospital in Powai. The actor was rushed to hospital at 5 p.m. Sunday, and soon after tested positive for coronavirus.
On the work side, Akshay’s upcoming Prithviraj will hit theaters on June 3, followed by Ram Setu and Raksha Bandhan.
