Ajman Resources launches the first “professional diploma for a digital transformation leader” at the level of the emirate’s government


The Ajman Government Human Resources Department, in coordination and cooperation with the American University of Rochester of Technology in Dubai, launched the first training program in the Ajman government, “Professional Diploma for a Digital Transformation Leader”, with the participation of 15 employees of the supervisory and executive categories and employees working in information technology in government agencies in the emirate.

Safia Al-Mahrazi, Director of the Training and Development Department in the department, explained that the launch of the first training program at the Ajman government level comes within the framework of the department’s keenness to empower Ajman government employees and provide them with the specialized skills necessary to achieve institutional goals by obtaining an international professional certificate in the professional diploma for the leader of digital transformation. Which was designed by the American University of Rochester of Technology in Dubai, stressing that digital transformation is a vital axis for developing government performance and providing the work system with flexible tools that enable government agencies to find unconventional and innovative solutions to meet many challenges.

She pointed out that the professional diploma program for the leader of digital transformation was designed in light of the new trends witnessed by the government sectors in the country in general and the Emirate of Ajman in particular, as it aims to introduce the concepts of digital transformation that will contribute to improving the quality of work in government agencies, and promoting the use of innovation and technology in developing digital transformation strategies and facing challenges while developing smart solutions.

She explained that the professional diploma program is organized in cooperation with the American University of Rochester of Technology in Dubai, and under the supervision of a group of specialized trainers covering various academic and applied fields.

The professional diploma program, which will run until next November, deals with six main axes. The first axis reviews the leadership of digital transformation in building the foundations for digital institutions, the basics of leadership in the digital world, the second axis is about exploring future possibilities, business dynamism and future foresight, and the third axis will deal with the spirit of strategic management. Which will focus on leading change and building digital strategy, and the fourth axis on big data, technologies, transformational digital platforms and data analytics, and the fifth axis on operational processes based on project management and partnerships, and the sixth axis will focus on a creative and innovative organizational culture.
