2022 International Referee Exam Dates Announced – TAUT

After a successful premiere of the online format at the 2020 International Referee Exam, which attracted a wider group of international referee candidates around the world, we hope that the 2022 International Referee Exam, once again offered online, will act as an additional catalyst in the development of match officials. It aims to provide further assistance to member associations in their educational journeys, which will result in more certified international referees, which will also ultimately raise the standard of refereeing at all level events and at around the world.

The 2022 International Umpire Exam will be conducted online through the ITTF Education Platform and will be available in 9 languages ​​(English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Russian).

Applications must be endorsed by the candidate’s respective Member Association and are open until Thursday 30 July 2022.

IU Candidates must have an excellent knowledge and understanding of Table Tennis Laws and International Competition Regulations, as well as the “Handbook for Match Officials” and/or any similar publication they may have received from their MA or the ITTF.

Applicants must be born no later than 1st January 2002, and it is strongly recommended that applicants have passed the Level 2 Umpires (National Umpire) exam (or equivalent), following the ITTF training program or a second level qualification within the framework of a member association. s own referee training and qualification program for at least 2 years, and that they have at least 2 years of refereeing experience at national level.

After validation of the overall exam result, successful candidates will receive an International Referee Certificate and be included in the ITTF Referee Database.
